For 20 years, Ken McCracken has worked with family enterprises of all types in various parts of the world. He is recognized as a leader in the field of family business advising.  Ken is the author and teacher of the Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and he is regularly invited to write for other publications. He is also actively involved in advocacy to improve the overall awareness of the economic and social contribution made by enterprising families, and he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Family Business.

Ken is a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and a past recipient of their Award for Outstanding Interdisciplinary Achievement. In 2015, Ken received the STEP Award for Family Business Advisor of the Year. Ken is a member of the Law Society of Scotland, received his LL.B (Hons) Dip.L.P. from the University of Glasgow, and holds the Family Firm Institute Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising.
